Hi, I am Matt. I'd once been a great mind set off to change the world for the better as an econometrist, manager, psychoanalyst, and a social democrat.
Nowadays, I am a Business IT Analyst and Enterprise Architect with a mid-to-large multi-site used cars dealer. As much as I enjoy it, it does feel like wayting my potential to some degree. And on top of that, I'm stuck dealing with all the personal problems I wished I had had sorted once for all, living in an country I hoped I had left for good.
It was cancer and a year of life with a stoma that brought me to a stop. It has now been five years and I now hope to get rid of the shackles and carry on. And this place is intended to be the account of that journey. The prequel is on my Tumblr.

More about Mattved
I graduated from the University of Plymouth with a 1st class honours BSc Economics degree and interrupted my MSc studies in the Netherlands due to my health condition.
As a kid, I flirted with the LAMP stack. Since we were about 14 until about 18, a friend of mine and I worked on couple of cool projects, some of which surprisingly still survive in production to date.
I worked as an analyst and Oracle APEX developer in a not-for-resale procurement department of a subsidiary of Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize N.V., almost securing a job with the parent. I had then joined Shoptet for a year to do some BI and data science with Postgre SQL, Python, and PowerBI. Then, I somehow managed to implement Salesforce for AutoESA, where about 75 callcentre agents and 200 other users work with it daily, with little in terms of external support. I continue with the company, leading a small team in the IT department, advocating for OpenSource and managing number of technology suppliers. I still work directly with SQL (I know more dialects than I hope existed), Python, PHP, Linux, Nginx, and plenty of proprietary crap.
I'd lived in Plymouth, UK; Amstelveen, NL; and my birthplace of Prague, CZ. My ultimate goal is returning to England, preferably southwest or the west coast.
